21/02/15: “Hiiiiiiiiiii!” (In that high pitched American twang) was the greeting I got as I walked in the Black Cap to sample the Madonna celebration night for the queen of pop’s new single.
The place was packed full of raving, screaming Madonna fans going wild for track after track of the Queen of Pop’s back catalogue. The Black Cap was simply Madonna heaven for a night. Johnny Kalifornia and Neil Prince Superstar Extraordinaire kept those Madonnalicious tunes spinning. The fun was hosted by the camp David Robson dressed as a matador, with performances from the incredible Virgin Xtravaganzah, a stunning Madonna mash up from Crystal Lubrikunt and a surprise guest spot by the multifaceted Myra DuBois, the night was complete. And the crowd reacted more like they were at a Madonna concert than a gay venue in Camden. Oh what a night! And yes was suitably sloshed by the end of it, thanks David.
