EDGE

23/08/13: After a few drinks in The Yard we stumbled along Old Compton Street and around Soho Square to the multi-floored staple of the gay scene, our favourite hang out on the corner (when we’re not working), The Edge.

Even at the south side of Soho Square we could see it was pumping, from the coloured club lights and silhouettes of people dancing in the upper floor windows, and by the time we reached the doors we could see The Edge was buzzing on every level. Felicia Van Cartier was hosting things as only she knows how, with a smile, a hair flick and a pussy pump or two.

Hot bar men poured our vodka and cokes as we imagined pouring ourselves over them, and after three doubles we were ready to dance. The Edge has Nikos T, Chris Brogan and Brent Nicholls on rotation, and the commercial house tracks dropping better than us in a mid slut-drop and coming more regularly then George Michael on a country walk.

The crowd was a hot mix of gays who love a drink and a dance. We shacked out until three in the morning, then, with ringing ears, stumbled for the night bus. We woke up on our kitchen floor with the mother of hangovers, knickers still on. We’ll be taking ourselves to The Edge more often!
