The Glory Turns 4

The Glory Turns 4

19/01/19: We make no secret of the fact that we love The Glory. We love it, because to us, it represents what a queer venue should be in 2019. It’s loving. It’s fun. It’s non-judgmental. It facilitates new ideas. It facilitates acceptance, art, and unapologetic debauchery. Its owners truly care for the venue and its patrons, and are always pushing themselves to come up with new, exciting and truly original stuff. Its fourth birthday celebrations on Saturday night were a sparkling celebration of that, with drag turns from some of their brightest alumni; Barbs, Bimini, Margo Marshall, Baby Lame, Camille Leon and more. And of course head honchos Jonny Woo and John Sizzle. Jacob Aria handled the decks with his characteristic cool aplomb, while alt-rock band Pink Suits tore up the basement. The Glory is, unignorably, the place to be. Go now! Bring your boyfriend, bring your girlfriend, bring your wife, bring your mum…they’ll LOVE IT.
