TheMenWhoFell2Earth 3rd Birthday

23/11/13: You can throw all the hard-bodied gogos in tiny Aussie Bum undies you like at a podium crowded with mega-pouting transsexuals and a screaming diva on a mic that you like, but to us there are really just three things we want from a decent night out: hot tunes, a cool crowd, and a venue that never fails to deliver.

Last week’s third birthday bash by TheMenWhoFell2Earth was all of that and then some. By half-midnight, East Bloc was shaking its basement foundations to the impressive selection of funked-up, disco-tinged, deep-fused whatever you wanna call it house sounds of TheMenWhoFell2Earth.

As the duo switched between deck-control, the music escalated to show that the gay scene really can deliver quality away from the music-by-numbers sounds of other queer dancefloors.

Then came the modern legend that was Jim Stanton to show that this man knows his tunes beyond the fabled confines of his own Horse Meat Disco. It was a night you should be looking to visit soon because we’re already a little bit in love with TheMenWhoFell2Earth.
