29/03/14: Spring has truly sprung at Egg in Kings Cross with Trade, a three-floor full-blown extravaganza they’ll be talking about for ages and already have us queueing up for the next one.
Sharp Boys, Steve and George have taken the helm of this muthaship and maneuvered it to funkytown with Trade Modern on the ground floor, Trade Lite/Disco upstairs and grinding hardcore in the Trade Tuff room. Spoiled for choice, all genders and tastes were working every room throbbing with Rick Castro’s wall-to-wall graphics.
DJ Jason Chance, premiering their latest collaboration ‘Just Like That’ beamed, “This is where I got started. It’s top of the world for me to be back here.”
“We never forget our DJs,” Steve Sharp smiled. “We’ve got heritage with Egg, Trade, our DJs and formed a special relationship.”
“They bring the vibe; we join the dots!” toasted PR mavens, Jo Phuture (Eddie) and Nicky Trax (Patsy) of PhutureTrax, between champagne sips.
DJ Pagano was thrilled to be working with the Sharp Boys and Trade. “Trade brought Chicago House to the UK. I used to buy all the Sharp Boys records. They helped shape my taste.” More thrilled was sexy muscle-boy, ‘Polish Peter’, who jumped in the interview to fawn over Pagano. “I heard him on SoundCloud and I’ve loved everything he’s done! Dirty-sexy in his own cool style. He doesn’t throw a calgon tablet into his studio machinery!”
