10/07/13: Dusty O’s annual birthday ball is one of the highlights of the Trannyshack family’s calendar.
This year was no exception with a ‘variety’ themed showcase of the talent from Dusty’s forthcoming variety show at the Leicester Square Theatre. We were treated to hula acts, balance shows and something rather odd with hats and a striptease.
There was even a clairvoyant on hand giving mystic readings to the packed out crowd down at Madame JoJo’s. Club kids mixed with London’s top drag artists and trannies and the gay glitterati were out en masse to celebrate the birthday of Trannyshack’s legendary house mother and disco queen.
Tasty Tim and Lady Lloyd were spinning top pop smashers and classic disco while Dusty’s Tranny Academy runner up Meth hosted the stage and performed a number alongside last year’s runner up Rosie Beaver. Trannyshack continues to be one of the best mid-week hedonistic experiences on the scene with something or someone for everyone. Soho at its mixed up best.
