22/08/15: The last time we visited Urban World was last year, so to say we were overdue a visit was an understatement – and this time around it was busier than ever, with Scala bursting like Tyra Banks when some weak model gives her shade.
Keeping in style with the night, we opted for a Fergie-esque get-up; actually we weren’t the only ones werqing (gay) ghetto glam; in fact, it coulda been a scene from a new urban film, Straight Outta (Old) Compton (Street). All the rooms had it going on, and with everything from old school R’n’B, to the latest hip-hop via dirty dancehall, we were living like Rachel Dolezal after her first afro perm.
Plus, it gave a chance to bust out all those moves we’ve been waiting to unleash since studying Nicki’s ‘Anaconda’. We’re now awaiting an appointment with our chiropractor following a twerk-related injury. No, bible. We’re currently lying on an ice pack. Oh, the glamour. If you’re gonna do your back in, you should at least get an orgasm along the way.
