WIG PARTY 2011: GODS & MONSTERS

30/09/11: Café de Paris was the only place to be as the West End went wild for a star-studded Circus birthday bash last Friday.

Marking five whole years since Queen of Clubs, Jodie Harsh, launched her uber-fab bash at the (sadly now defunct) Soho Revue Bar, Circus has been through a few incarnations since those days, but the glammed-up fashionistas keep coming back for more as this party proves it certainly has staying power.

Drawing in a mixed crowd of dragsters, scene darlings and curious straights to the very venue where Marlene Dietrich once performed, a sumptuous soiree featured dazzling DJ action, VIP delights and more amidst the opulent ambience of one of London’s most legendary nightclubs.

Highlights included DJ Joshyou Are whipping up a glitzy storm on the main floor with more to come from Jodie and a live orchestral onslaught of musical wonders from Kris di Angelis. Elsewhere, QX made for the velvet banquettes in the Room Service ‘Prive’ as James Pople kept the underground beats flowing as freely as our Champers.

Meanwhile, there was still more excitement to look forward to with Scottee set to hit the stage and a birthday session from DJ legend Fat Tony. Here’s to five more years of the Circus spectacular!
