21/10/12: When we heard the theme was ‘Toyland’ – we immediately thought of Barbie, but with a touch of ghetto/sketty south London, obviously.
And what better excuse to throw on our gold hoops and our baby pink biker jacket, than raising money for The Elton John Aids Foundation? So after squeezing our size 10.5 feet into a mere size 8, we were ready to go – albeit hobbling – although if anyone asks, that was part of our ghetto swag.
Meeting up with the QX editor, Clifftina Draguleira, we watched a flamboyant catwalk of toy soldiers, marionettes, cheerleaders and army men, before ‘The Voice’s Ruth Brown belted out some tunes.
The lovely Paul Heron had every boy, girl and plastic bitch up on the dance floor, before we all moved on to Lo-Profile for the after-party… well, it was for charity after all! Another sensational Wig Party extravaganza.
If you didn’t make it to this year’s event. LOSER! You better not miss next year’s outing.
