30/06/12: London dived in for a night of outsized antics as XXL surfed a tidal wave of excitement with a supercharged ‘Speedo Party’ last weekend.
Attracting a rampant crowd of beefed-up hunks ands chunks, adherence to the swimwear theme may have been limited to boys tough enough to withstand the brisk evening air in nothing except stretch nylon and steamed-up goggles, but those who made the effort certainly created a splash amongst the hirsute homos on the dancefloor. Running the gamut from limber lifeguard to Aussie water-polo hunk and Tom Daley-esque sex stud, Pulse got racing for a bicep-bulging parade that saw the main room descending into a whirlpool of beary burly bods and crashing commercial dance sounds from Christian M.
Next door and things went swimmingly for a party bangin’ soundtrack with Joe Egg, taking in retro anthems and the hottest chart sounds on the block. Moving on, and the proceedings continued amidst the exotic splendour of the Pulse indoor garden whilst muscle gods rested their weary pecs beneath the palm fronds and the rest of us got frisky in the darkroom as the frantic frolics continued right through ‘til the morning.
