XXL ‘CONSTRUCTION’
Posted on February 8, 2012
04/02/12: QX Club News battled through a perilous snowstorm as XXL cemented its reputation with a tooled-up ‘Construction’ party last weekend.
Not even a winter whiteout could stop the juggernaut that is London biggest weekly mega-bears’ bash, as promoter Mark Ames and the XXL posse turned the Arcadia arches into a mucho-macho building site, complete with labouring bar guyz and fabulous construction-themed décor.
Highlights included DJs Christian M and Alex Logan demolishing the main floor with a hammer-blow of towering commercial dance beats that had hard-hatted homos and horny hod-carriers stomping through the night.
Elsewhere, saucy site foreman, Joe Egg, let rip for a retro-refurb of nostalgic pop beats in the back bar, whilst there was enough surveying going on in the spacious darkroom to make us knock over our theodolite in excitement.
Meanwhile, the always bustling main bar saw the exhausted boys taking a break from all that hard work as the action-packed proceedings showed no sign of letting up ‘til the dawn. Check out the action next week as the boys throw a big-hearted Valentine’s bash!
Check out more photos from this event and plan your next night out, all in the palm of your hand with the ‘QX Gay London’ iPhone app. Available to download FREE from the iTunes app store.
