02/07/11: XXL pulled out all the stops for this year’s meatiest, hairiest, sweatiest, most throbbing and uplifting post-Pride party. Christian M, Alex Logan, Joe Egg, Mark Ames provided tunes for the heaving masses. The music was loud, unabashedly proud and upfront. The men were all leather, chains, smiles, sweat and lots of hair. The dancing was unselfconscious, funky, hands in the air joy. The darkrooms were a big hot throbbing mess of man. The lightshow in the main room creates a weird and wonderful world in which you can let go, dance and be free with your body and rub up against some of the hottest bodies in London, as the vast outdoor chill out areas adorned with their plush leather sofas provide the perfect place to recover in the warm summers evening. Oh yes, the vast caverns of Arcadia are the perfect setting for party of this magnitude. It’s nice to know that even a club this big (pardon the pun) can still be really friendly and fun. XXL gets a big thumbs-up and a bear hug from the QX team.
