RIVERSIDE TAVERN FEATURING SABRINA WASHINGTON

10/11/12: It’s always nice to get out of the bustle of the West End for awhile, especially as QX Towers is based right above a street of music shops always blasting out rock tuneage, right next to Crossrail and its noisy, cumbersome construction…

and when the wind’s blowing in the right direction, we swear you can hear the cackle of some of the louder drag queens pounding the streets of Soho.

So we sashayed down to Kent to catch an artist we listened to many a times in our teenage years… ok, early twenties! Yes, Sabrina Washington, former frontwoman of Mis-teeq (“And the one Sunship”) decided to launch her latest solo single in the comforting bosom of a gaggle of homoxuals… smart lady!

My gurl tore the house down with her latest tune ‘Hit it Hard’, her previous stormer ‘Oh My Gosh’ and Mis-Teeq classic ‘Scandalous’. As ever, the Riverside Tavern was a ridiculously fun and eclectic mix of hot boys, fag hags and mags (mag meaning magnet – a fag mag is a gurl who gays just can’t get enough of) and gays on the go.

We love it here and we can’t wait for the next few weeks, as 90s dance diva Alex Party rocks the house on Saturday 24th November and garage girls Sweet Female Attitude on Saturday 1st December. It may be cold outside, but it’s hot in the Riverside Tavern!
