The Glory’s 2nd Birthday
07/01/17: Happy Birthday to Woo, stick your wig down the loo, you look like a gender bending freak of nature and you twerk like one too!
The Un-Royal Variety After Party
15/10/16: Saturday night at the Glory was triple trashy trouble with Johnny Woo and his partners in grime yanky poodle Brandon Allison and Levinnia.
07/10/16: Queer Artists, Queer Icons and Queer Anthems. It does exactly what is says on the tin.
The Glory with Betty Grumble
23/07/16: It’s a strange beauty to find a performing artist where every scene of their show is A-grade in its artistry, hilarity and political message, but it’s even better to feel that the message received is more powerful than the sum of its stunning parts.
01/07/16: Our favourite Haggerston superpub had it’s weekly session of madness and campylooo classic courtesy of John Sizzle and friends.
06/05/2016: The Glory’s truly vers basement was transformed on Friday night into an intimate theatre, hosting Wotever World’s Non-Binary cabaret.
08/10/15: The Glory held a fundraiser in aid of the refugee crisis. Which is very important.
Mister Glory 2015
15/07/15: Last Wednesday was the finale of MISTER GLORY, the super-pub-queer-alt-performance-club-delight’s alternative male beauty pageant.
21/05/15: At the start of the inaugural Faggy Okay! host Ginger Johnson made the perhaps slightly ambitious proclamation that they had every song in the universe.
02/04/15: After ten heats that showcased some of the most insane, anarchic, imaginative and utterly bonkers lipsync performances this queen had ever seen, the grand final rolled around with a mammoth eighteen performances.
Having already gifted us with The Glory, a bar that’s proven to be just what the drag queen ordered for the East London scene, creative genius Jonny Woo is presenting us with another hot sensation in the form of Lipsync 1000! A new(ish) night for fabulous faux femmes and friends, to dazzle us with their ability to memorize and mouth long sequences of words set to music. Naturally, we were in the front row for opening night.
