There are quite a few Christmas events on aren’t there. Well don’t blame us! It’s our job to report on these things. And hey, at least you live in a city where things actually happen. Christmas in Torquay is just a few baubles and John Barrowman in a bad panto on the seafront.
Comptons is one of our faves this year. We’re not gonna lie, it’s largely down to their Christmas poster (above). Look at it! It’s so hot! Tom of Finland meets Coca Cola. We’d certainly like him to come down OUR chimney. Sigh. We’re vulgar. Crude old queens, is what we are!
Anyway, Comptons have got a packed Christmas schedule all through December, with DJ sets from scene favourites as well as extended opening hours. They’re even open on Christmas Day for a couple of hours, from midday to 2pm! So if you need to escape from family festivities, pop in for a pint in their lovely oak-inlaid surroundings.
