BEEFMINCE, London’s BIG and BEEFY club, has announced its new monthly residency at the iconic Royal Vauxhall Tavern so we met up with the two promoters Argyris (right) and Dan (left) to find out what London’s gay scene should expect from this promised platter of beef.
So what is BEEFMINCE?
Argyris – We were both part of the team that ran Hot Fuzz over the last few years at the RVT, a night much loved by us all and the regular crowd that attended. We then noticed a gap in the scene for a beary event for London Pride, so we created BEEFMINCE together.
Dan: We ran our super-hot Pride bash at Corsica Studios (one of the top 100 clubs in the world!), then we were approached by clubbing giants WE Party who invited us to host Room 2 at the O2 Academy Brixton for their New Years Day 2016 event – Paradise. This was a HUGE night and also an amazing opportunity to get the BEEFMINCE brand out again and it perfectly coincided with our upcoming January launch at the Vauxhall Tavern. How could we say no?!
So the January launch party – what do you have lined up?
Argyris: We expect it to be full of hotties, bears, cubs and everything in-between. We also have guest DJ ‘HOUSE OF WALLENBERG’ who is a critically acclaimed Swedish DJ and music producer. His club nights are legendary in Stockholm. There will also be a LIVE PA performance of his new single “I Need A Man” by vocalist Eva Inglesias (the powerhouse singer who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent). Dan: Alongside those two will be BEEFMINCE resident DJs Silverhook (that’s Argyris) and Cactushead (aka Ian Buchan) – both familiar faces to the legendary Tavern. The RVT is famous for its attitude-free, inclusive atmosphere something we’ll carry on to ensure everyone feels welcome and has a fantastic time in the old girl.
And what will the music be like?
Argyris: Mainly house and dance music – but we are pop tarts at heart, so expect to hear some pop references both old and new! It will be vocal, it will be sexy!
Dan: We can’t wait to welcome you to BEEFMINCE, to start a new chapter of partying in the legendary RVT.
