Beguiling Art Cinema Piece Magnanimous Lands at XXL

Ever fancied clubbing AND culture? That should be QX’s tagline actually. “QX Magazine – Clubbing & Culture!” What?! Don’t look at us like that! We’re cultured. We once watched The Antiques Roadshow all the way through. If that’s not culture, THEN WHAT IS?

Perhaps Magnanimous at XXL. Magnanimous is a movie, and XXL is a big bear club, and they’re joining forces on New Year’s Eve, to bring you subversive, unique cinema in a breathtaking setting! Yes!

The latest offering from visionary creative producer Sam Hendi, Magnanimous tells a beguilingly abstract story set in a dreamlike world where time is frozen. We meet a young man and delve into his deepest psychological nuances, including his sexual fantasies and his perception of his own masculinity.

Told in a nonlinear, unconventional fashion, Magnanimous expands the observer’s mind into transcendent imagery and engaging interpretation. It crosses the line between cinema and art, and will play in the style of an art exhibition on a loop throughout the night.

Magnanimous is chilling, beautiful and startlingly unique. And its screening at XXL could not make for a better setting, with its themes of sexuality and masculinity. Where better than a bear club!

• Magnanimous will be showing throughout the night on 31st December at XXL, Pulse Nightclub, 1 Invicta Plaza, SE1 9UF.
