From AM to PM

Beyond are exploding into 2016 with a massive 12-hour marathon! We caught up with promoter Mikele Corzato to find out more about this mammoth party melee.

So first off, 2015 has been a big year for Beyond, how would you sum it up in five words?

UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE . HEDONISTIC. TRENDSETTING. STRESSFUL. REWARDING.

So Beyond Midnight promises us twelve hours of non-stop partying, first off; who’ll be throwing down tunes?

We have Tom Stephan headlining, sharing the Main Room decks with London legend Fat Tony, our Beyond International resident Michel Mizrahi, Miswhite and Chris Brogan. Room 2 is invaded by D’Johnny and Hifi Sean. Being the week after a very busy New Year’s Day series of events, I expect our staff to be really letting their hair down, and usually the outcome is pretty spectacular.

And how many rooms have you got?

We will have 3 rooms open, The Box will be closed as it’s getting a brand new floor, sound and lighting system, so expect to find a completely transformed room by the end of January. I have seen the plans and I am literally blown away by the attention to detail that has been put into that project!

What are your top tips for clubbing marathons? How do you keep the energy going?

I sleep a lot, or at least try before a big gig. I stock up on Guarana, available at Holland&Barrett, which is an energy supplement. Power naps are very helpful too, but the music is always so good that it’s enough to keep you going. There are also a couple of trade secrets… which I have been recommend not to share. Sorry!

What’s to come for Beyond in 2016? Any sneak peeks?

We are upping our game once more with an extensive International World Tour, we are in talks with special guest DJs that are massive but pretty new to the gay scene, which is very exciting. There will be more Beyond events at The Coronet, and also daytime terrace parties. We are going to be naughtier than ever!

Anything else we should know before we let you dive headfirst back into the ultimate house party?

Every gay’s New Year’s resolution should be to buy advance tickets for any party they want to attend, it’s WAY cheaper! It will also save me needing to be rude to them when they complain. Jokingnotjoking.

• Beyond Midnight will be at Ministry Of Sound (103 Gaunt Street, SE1 6DP) on Saturday 9th January 2016 from 11:59pm.
