This week we’re thinking film as in Fringe! Film Fest, we’re thinking dressing up as in going out and showing off and we’re feeling all Christmassy with some right festive moments planned.
Now then seems like the annual Fringe! Film Fest is switching it up with events all over the shop starting off with Naked Boys Reading: Character Studies at the Ace Hotel on Thursday 26th November. La John Joseph curates a myriad of texts for the naked boys themselves to read, hosted by Dr Sharon Husbands and DJ music from Duchess of Pork. 7.30-10.30… after which stay for an evening of it with Fringe! The Last Night in the Life of Alexander Geist when La John Joseph explores his alter ego Alexander Geist via theatre and film.
Still feeling all filmish then Pleased & Fringe! Film Fest get together at the Dalston Superstore on Friday 27th this weekend for the official after party of a fun screening of Sister Act at the Rio cinema hosted by Holestar. Join upstairs with UN-Lucky Bitches and Alexander Karotsch, downstairs resident DJ’s John Pleased and Paul Woods, hosted by fun loving pig-nosed tranny Ma Butcher, 10 till 4am.
What roll call this is! World AIDS Day Extravaganza supporting GMFA at the Bloc Bar (18 Kentish Town Road) on Saturday 28th. From 6pm till 1am it’s turns a gogo with The Family Fierce, Vanity Von Glow, Virgin Xtravaganza, Baga Chips, Fagulous… the list goes on and on. And all in a good cause – not to be missed! Catch up with further Bloc Bar goings on after as the bar camps it up with an 80’s themed carry on, RELAX!
