This week you can test your IQ at the cult quiz night Quiz Me Maybe with a girl power theme on Thursday August 11th at Dalston Superstore. Join the Maybe Baby collective who includes the fabulous Shay Shay at 7pm. It doesn’t matter if you’re not in a team, you can join one when you get there btw!
Over at the Retro Bar at 2 George Court, just off The Strand, it’s all go at Lucky Dip! The Thursday nighter where Heidi Heelz holds court, DJing her very special selection of music from 8 – 11pm. I always try and pop by when I’m in town, the Retro Bar is one of my faves!
Awful on Friday 12th August is one of those nights where if you miss it you’ll wish you made the effort. At the Dalston Superstore from 9pm – 3am, see Jacqui Potato and Jonbenet Blonde DJ upstairs and Joshua and Jonjo DJ as Rosie and Ellen downstairs.
Oh here’s one to tickle your fancy; Meat Takeover at The Glory, that’s on Friday 12th August as well. In the bar Adrian and John Sizzle, in The Hole down below join Fannar and Nic Fischer for a pulsating session! 9-3am everyone.
Now, I haven’t been to this place The Yard, Unit 2, White Post Lane in Hackney Wick, E9 but Knickerbocker: Queer Dance Party featuring TheMenWhoFellToEarth from 10pm – 4am looks enticing! So much going on, that’s on Friday 12th as well!
Moving on to Saturday 13th August, don’t forget Dirtbox at Vogue Fabrics with faves The Duchess of Pork and Gibson taking over with a classic DJ set of throbbing beats! Okay 10-3am and only a fiver to get in!
