#JULIASAYS…

At times, we all get caught up in the good taste/bad taste conundrum: is it so bad it’s good, or is good taste with no sense of irony just plain boring? I’ll let you decide, as I’m qween of everything with a twist of bad taste and a splash of irony thrown in!

So yes my dears this week we start with a delve into the world of super fan of Björk Jacqui Potato and an evening at The Glory entitled Björk Scratchings on Thursday 22nd September. Jacqui will be releasing a tirade of all things Björk on stage and off that includes ‘looks’ and of course music with special guests Jonny Woo, Rudi and Shay Shay from 8pm ‘til midnight… a real family affair! (and it’s free to get in!).

Talking about Shay Shay she’s got the attitude, style and something to say that captures your imagination. The ShayShay Show – Kool 4 School on Friday 23rd at Lime Wharf promises to be a showcase of ShayShayisms. Is that a new thing I just made up?! Ha, well anyway this is the start of Shay Shay’s monthly slot and she’s going all educational on us. Special guests Polly Amorous, Lick Von Dyke, Ellis D and Harriet Braine will take us in hand for the start of the new term enrolling at 6pm, show time 8pm.

WUT? Club is back with a bit of a theme Dungeons & Drag Queens this month at the Dalston Superstore on Friday 23rd. All the gang DJ, AttackAttackAttack and special guests Ray Noir, Ted Rodgers, Alexis Knox, Maxi Moore plus more, 9 ‘til 4am!

Now, I like to turn my hand to a variance of things, so this weekend I’ll be up at The Pale Blue Door on Saturday 24th, running around like a headless chicken. It’s a pop up restaurant from set designer Tony Hornecker, which has a cult following amongst those in the know! Expect a dining like no other where A Man To Pet wows you with extraordinary performance to the soundtrack of your life, on ‘til the 1st October.
