Our fave gay soccer boys, the London Titans FC, are celebrating their birthday with their eleventh annual birthday tournament!
It’ll be made up of 11-a-side matches. That’s when you’ve got eleven people playing on each team. We think. We’re not sure. We know NOTHING about football, ok?!
But these boys do, and they’ve done an amazing amount of stuff to provide a safe space for gay men who love the beautiful game! Not to mention kicking through stigmas and stereotypes!
Last year, fourteen teams from across the UK attended! That’s loads! And this year they want even more, plus, for the first time, teams from outside the UK from European leagues and perhaps even further afield. Take THAT Brexit! Some of us, are still interested in integrating with other cultures.
As well as the tournament celebration, there’s events across the city to mark the ocassion. They’ve already had MUTYA BLOODY BUENA celebrating with them at The Two Brewers last week, and they’ve got a Halloween Ball on 28th October.
