Gay venues can be found right across London, from Heathrow to Walthamstow. But there are three distinct ‘Gay Villages’ where multiple bars, clubs and retailers have gathered to create distinct queer communities.

Soho (or Central London aka the West End) is the biggest of them, featuring a diverse range of businesses from traditional pubs with grand drag dames delivering glittering cabaret every night to more modern bar/club concepts.

Central London

Over in Shoreditch, Old Street and Dalston (aka East London) the cool, the trendy the underground and the edgy collide for a colourful cross section of characters to create one of the city’s most edgiest gay scenes.

Head south to Vauxhall where the once industrial area is slowly transforming itself into London’s new hub of activity – both day and night time. Late night after-hours clubs meet legendary establishments to create a vibrant scene. Plus, just a few tube stops away from Vauxhall is Clapham, a popular destination/mini gay village in its own right.
