The Vault is a stalwart of London’s sexier gay scene, and we caught up with owner Andrew Wilkinson to find out more about what makes it so damn, deep sexy!
What is The Vault?
The Vault is a sexed up cruise bar with dark rooms, glory hole cabins, private rooms and porn rooms just off Tottenham Court Road.
Who set it up?
Mike and Andrew, the guys that brought you the original Manbar, set it up five years ago and it’s been a runaway success.
Why do you think it’s so popular?
The price. £7.00 including your first drink, coat check, wifi and re-entry. The location is discreet but very easy to get to, pretty much every tube line stops within a five minute walk of the venue and it’s busy day and night.
Who do you get as your regular clientele?
It’s such a cross spectrum of people you couldn’t possible say it’s one type or the other. You get everything from bears to twinks from muscle to large and everything in between.
Tell us about your new U25s policy?
Every Sunday from 1pm until 1am it’s free to under 25’s (proof of age required), so either the afternoon underwear party or the evening cruise event.
And finally, what exciting plans do you have coming up?
Halloween is our favourite night of the year. We always do something special and this year will be no different. You can expect trick, treats and thrills. Last year’s party was packed and everyone walked away with a full goody bag and an empty sack.
