Revelation Soho at Circa

It’s Saturday morning, you’re walking around Soho nursing the mother of all hangovers, you’re feeling extremely precious and if you don’t eat something soon there’s a very strong chance you’ll pass out. The struggle is real.

Cue Revelation Soho and its Hangover Killing Kilner – baked eggs and cheese combined with a mix of anything from bacon or sausages (for purists) to Spinach, Chorizo or Haloumi (for those who favour something more Continental). Since opening in February, Circa’s resident pop-up café has proved a morale boosting pit-stop for weary revellers with its Saturday Brunch Club.

While its smoothies, salads and homemade granola appeal to the health conscious, the kilner and variety of eggs keep those who want something with a bit more protein happy. Its take on shakshuka, a traditional tomato and eggs based North African street food dish, is also worth checking out.

And for those who can’t keep away from Soho, what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than gorging on Revelation’s roast dinners, with a choice between Irish sirloin of beef, slow cooked Welsh leg of lamb and a roasted mushroom and nut bake with gruyere cheese centre. Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth their surprisingly light and delicate sticky toffee pudding is insanely good (and addictive).

Using high quality, carefully sourced ingredients to create a varied and interesting menu, all set at a reasonable price, Revelation at Circa is a hit. Let’s just hope this pop up doesn’t deflate and leave us anytime soon.

With a champagne breakfast in the works for London Pride, Revelation Soho at Circa could be the perfect starting point before heading down to the parade. And as long as those kilners stay on the menu, it’s still probably the place to go and nurse the next day’s hangover too…
