There’s nothing wrong with having a dream. In fact, I’m all for it. But don’t expect it to drop in your lap and become reality. You’ve got to get out there and make it happen! Look at all these fab things you can go to this weekend!

I’m pleased to announce Pleased is back with Spring Fling up at the Dalston Superstore on Friday 4th March. Jon Pleased Wimmin is in town with a stellar cast of DJ’s including himself, The Meat Boys, Beary Carey, Paul Woods and special guest Jo Lively. 9-3am everyone.

Get yerselves down to The Queen Adelaide, 283 Hackney Road this Saturday 5th. Upstairs and downstairs The Queen Adelaide is where the old George & Dragon crowd are nowadays FYI. Goes on ‘til really late, then you can pop over to Savage at Metropolis, Cambridge Heath Road. That’s Saturday night sorted then nightbirds!

If you’re in other parts of town check out R & She: Rihanna Special at this little Dalston dive Tipsy, 20 Stoke Newington Road on Saturday 5th. Join Q Boy, David Oh and Neil Prince for a funky get down lol! Over at Handsome at East Bloc on Saturday 5th, residents Dave Kendrick and Martyn Fitzgerald are turning it out with Mistamaker DJing in the bar.

Taking a moment to reflect, photographer Holly Revell is having an exhibition of her more experimental images exploring the journey of drag and performance with cult figures including David Hoyle, Jonny Woo, Lavinia Co-Op, Miss Cairo and A Man To Pet. On at Vyner Street Gallery from 9th March to 7th March, the exhibition continues with selected work at The Glory ‘til 19th March.
