QX Recommends: Vauxhall Winter Village

An oasis of calm in party centre Vauxhall!

Fancy going to a pop-up ski resort in the heart of South London? Well LOOK NO FURTHER. Vauxhall Winter Village has literally popped up in, yep you guessed it from the name, VAUXHALL!

It’s down that twinkling little secret alley just next to Fire, and is a snow-spattered wonderland of festive frolics and delectable delights.

They’ve got a sizzlingly warming selection of food and drink stalls to get your snow-cooled saliva going, including clucking good Caribbean delights from Jamakin Me Crazy, delicious fresh-cooked Mexican food from Hola Guacamole, artisan gorgeousness from Country Kitchen, and trendy urban meatiness from City Burgers.

There’s also (most importantly, in our opinion) an old school fish and chips stand called, appropriately, Ye Olde Fish & Chips. It’s beer-battered and everything! We bloody love fish and chips, and they can really warm you on a cold day.

As well as that, they’ve got hot and cold cocktails. Steaming glasses of cinnamon-infused alcoholic goodness.

Slap bang next to Vauxhall Station, it’s perfect to pop into for a bit of food/drink therapy after a hard-working day in unforgiving winter London!

Vauxhall Winter garden is at 6A South Lambeth Place, SW8 1RT.

Open Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 10pm.
