Today in VERY LONDON news – actor, director, tux-wearer, part-time DJ and generally GORGEOUS MAN Idris Elba, is opening a cocktail bar.
We love Idris, because he is extra! He loves a bit of zest and zing. General ostentatiousness. We feel like he’s the sort of person who has a remote-controlled fireplace in his bedroom. He presses a button and it just goes WHOOSH. Not that we’ve ever been in his bedroom, of course (hi Idris if you’re reading this where are u based?).
He’s teamed up with bougie brothers Lee & Nicky Caulfield, to open The Parrot at the Waldorf Hilton this October. Apparently it’s gonna be all tropical inside, with plants and things. We love a plant! And we can already feel the vibe. We’re picturing Dua Lipa propping up the bar, sipping a mojito and sifting through her handbag.
The bar will also be the first in London to offer a chauffeur-driven car service?! EXTRA IDRIS WE LOVE YOU.
