Discerning scene musings from the princess of East London!

Just a normal week planned… but what is just a ‘normal’ week, I ask you!? Be prepared for anything to happen – live life on the edge and expect the unexpected! I.e. visit your local clubs, pubs and join in the fun! Go to see exhibitions, shows, films, art and music stuff too, it all adds to the experience.

At The Queen Adelaide on Thursday 9th May where Kevin Le Grand hosts their regular Thursday night basement night soireé, it’s where absolutely anything goes! Tonight is designer, DJ, drag and author Max Allen’s birthday so I’ll be down there DJing and paying my respects with GHL playing whatever Max Allen wants! 10pm till 3am!

Happy Endings Music Festival at Dalston Superstore on Thursday 9th May looks good too! In the lazer pit band SNOW BOY perform. It’s on over two floors with special guest DJ’s from 9pm till 2.30.

This Karaoke is catching on… IM NOT OKhole! starring Rodent on hosting duties on Thursday 9th May at The Karaoke Hole up in Dalston starts at 8pm and goes on till 2am. Rodent wants you to select all the most miserable pop punk emo anthems of mostly the 00’s so get ready to release a real emotional wail!

On Friday 10th May, go see what’s going on at the Royal Vauxhall TavernTrashy Queen from 10pm is disco/drag/performance night with Danny Ash, Taylor Trash and TVTV. DJ’s Lady Lloyd, David Robson and Craig Jones till 3am!

What Made Gerri Ginger is at The Glory on Friday 10th May. It’s show time with Just May who explores their favorite subject and obsession; yes you’ve guessed it…Ginger Spice! Show from 7:30pm – 9.30pm, then it’s all hands to the DJ decks because it’s Friday night Trouble and this week our gorgeous Cassandra hosts and I’ll be DJing along with Dance Armstrong till 2am!

On Saturday 11th May get in with A Man To Pet’s Basic Boys at the Dalston Superstore. 9pm – 3am. DJs Jacob Aria, Jacob of Cappadocia and Chester Hayes stick on the hits plus DUO PET PISS which I take to be A Man To Pet themselves plays an eclectic set!

I do this every Sunday at The Glory and it’s the talk of the town! Princess Julia Loves and this week my special guest this week is the astounding Charity Kase! You know what there’s so much talent around, so this is my night where I invite you to witness a mere snippet of what’s going on in London’s underground scene of performance. 7-11pm, join me why don’t you.

Don’t forget everyone that Lypsync 1000 is back at The Glory every Wednesday too!!!! Honestly if you don’t go anywhere else go to this, the longest running lypsync competition, hosted by Jonny Woo. Final is on July 10th at The Clapham Grand btw.
