It’s easy to get lost down the wormhole of the internet but not everything seems to be on there. Try an old fashioned library, an IRL talk, show or exhibition too…
Now then, over at The Chateau, 29-33 Camberwell Church Street on Thursday 20th June go see Boulangerie: Pride Edition. An evening of queer performance hosted by Wanda Cookie and this month co-hosted with Jules Jones. From 7pm grab a seat and witness happenings glaore with performance from Sue Gives A Fuck, Orlando, Loxx Blaxx and Psychofag.
It’s our fave regular night at The Glory…TROUBLE on Friday 21st this week with added Baby Lame! A late night drag mutiny. I’ll be DJing along with the lovely Chaka Khan’t from 10pm till 2am. Oh it’s a right hoot I must say, so come and visit us!
Then, what about Homostash, who present a Sinful Edition of partying at Dalston Superstore this Friday 21st June from 9pm till 3am. They’re a lovely lot and put a lot of effort into what is now a cult night. DJs Tafkanik, Kasey Riot and Blue Kandi play the basement. In the bar, Pavliné and Carly Foxx DJ plus poster boy Danny Campbell-Fox gogo dancing on the bar!
If you’re in the know, you know! BAD music 4 BAD people at The Queen Adelaide on Friday 21st in the dive bar of this pub, it’s one of those locations with an air of mystery attached to it! Join superstar performance artist, DJ and major lewks queen Rodent from 10pm till 3am as they bang out all the really ‘so BAD they’re good’ tunes!
If you don’t know Fancy Shews then go to Fancy Shews presents: A Fancy Shews Drag Brunch and make yourself known in person on Saturday 22nd at Dalston Superstore. Enjoy an artisanal slice, a crunchy brunchy drag shake from 12 midday till 4pm. Apparently even our fave mistress of drag Cassandra may drop by too!!!
If you’re over south London or fancy a jaunt then SOS-Soul On Saturday at The Eagle on Saturday 22nd is on. Hosted by ROY INC with DJs playing the rare grooves Terry T-Rex and special guest Conor Lynch. 9pm-4am
OMG! Okay hold on HARD CK LIFE: Summer Special is at Hangar, London Fields. Get in mate it’s hot and sweaty. 10pm till 5am on Saturday 22nd June.
Then my weekly Sunday salon Princess Julia Loves with special guest Cassandra 7pm-11pm continues apace. Sunday 23rd June write it in your diary and come and visit us.
Then this! Gig alert! Wild daughter: The Moon Sextiles the Sun on Thursday 27th June is one you’ll regret missing. I’m not joking catch them as they launch their 2nd single ‘Mr G’ and ‘Brando Bomb’. It’s a bit arty this with video installations from Aaron Sharif and Gerald Paul. Support band Berlin’s Die Hässlichen Vögel aka Ugly Birds. There’s also a Wild Daughter zine to get too… 8pm till 11pm at the ICA. www.ica.art
