Pleasuredrome – Getting Spooky at the Sauna

So Chris, we hear things are heating up over at Pleasuredrome. It looks like you’re kicking Saturday nights up a notch. Tell us about it!

Officially we don’t put on events: Pleasuredrome has been going for over 23-years now and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We want the experience to deliver every time. You can turn up, literally anytime, and gain entry into our hedonistic pleasure spa. However, after our neighbours XXL had to close, quite a lot of new guys were coming in for cruising the Saturday night after. We want to let London’s gay scene know that on Saturday nights we crank up the curated electronic music to create a sexy party vibe to cruise in. The venue is a labyrinth of rooms, showers, saunas and steam rooms spread over two floors, perfect for a sexy Saturday night out.

It’s Halloween week! Do you have anything spooky lined up?

Pleasuredrome already has an atmospheric vibe with its dark lighting, old brick walls and our misty showers and steam rooms. In recent years Halloween has become one of the busiest weekends of the year. We want guys to know we’re open when they’ve finished celebrating at their Halloween parties. Continue the fun at Pleasuredrome. Strip down into a white towel, grab a beer and meet some men. Make the most of the Halloween weekend at a gay sauna, we all need a distraction from the Brexit fiasco.

Having a bar that’s open 24 hours in London is a rare thing! What do people tend to order at 6am?

Pleasuredrome is actually the only gay venue in the UK with a 24-hour alcohol license. London is an international city and needs a gay bar that’s open 24 hours. Behind the bar, we have a variety of wines, beers and spirits available. We serve food too! Wraps, sandwiches, crisps, fruit, sweets. It’s a good way to make new friends, to buy them a drink first.

There are a lot of guys who like the idea of heading to a sauna but aren’t sure about the ins and outs. Where should they head for some answers?

We’re constantly inundated with questions on emails, social media and on the phone, so we decided to answer all the most commonly asked questions we get. There are 70 answers on our new FAQs page from “Do you have large towels?” to “Can I wear stockings?” A lot of people want to know when we’re busy (it’s afternoons into early evenings and weekends, in case you are reading this and wondering). We have a lot of men coming in all day long, tourists, shift workers, day-off workers, and men who prefer it when we’re less busy so they can really enjoy a massage and chill in the spa pool.
