ANGEL CABARET BAR

ANGEL CABARET BAR

23/10/10: After two and a half years apart pursuing solo projects, Trashville Tennessee are back together, and we have to say that never were two performers so perfectly matched. Kicking off their comeback at Stratford’s Angel Bar, Dolly Partem and Cassidy Connors both have great singing voices, razor sharp quick wit and repartee, and share a smutty sense of humour and a clear enjoyment at performing up close and personal. Their show included audience participation and snappily rewritten songs like Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ that became an homage to Mephadrone; “I’m in the mood and I’m on plant food and you’re not gonna take my mephadrone”. Abba’s ‘Money Money Money’ became East End anthem “Giro Social Giro” and that most well known of ditty from Annie became a warning to mothers everywhere, “You’re son will come out tomorrow”. With cute bar staff, a cuter DJ and a huge dance floor much dancing and drinking followed. Cracking night!
