BURNS NIGHT WITH MARY MAC

26/01/13: Och aye the noo! Mary Mac hosted the Burns Night cabaret at Central Station, a celebration of life and poetry, distinctly in the style of ‘camp’.

Now, usually you would expect to see people in kilts and tartan but Och noo, what did I see? Two fellas in school uniform, they were from a Scottish school though, so I suppose that counts.

Jason Prince was in his corner spinning some camp classics and keeping the energy ramped up to Highlandic proportions, warming up the CS crew for Mary’s grand entrance.

Storming the stage, Ms Mac belted out some classic show tunes from the likes of Shirley Bassey and Amy Winehouse, having a right old banter with the audience in between each song, teasing lads and lassies of every size, shape, gender and the colour of their haggis.

Topping it off with a delicious rendition of Susan Boyle, Mary had Central Station in tartan stitches.
