13/11/14: We were overdue a visit to trendy bar New Bloomsbury Set, so we thought we’d go pay the boys a visit. And especially when the cold is turning more bitter than a Disney stepmother, what better place to warm your socks?
NBS reminds us of the cosiest of living rooms – one that always has a fully stocked alcohol cabinet – complete with vintage performances of Eurovision screened on the TVs. ‘Camp’ doesn’t do it justice.
Midweek nights at NBS is perfect for those nights when you want to socialise in a gay bar and combine it with the comfort of your home; the cosy interior and relaxed ambience give you exactly that.
After all, getting pissed in your own living room as you endlessly scroll through a hook-up app is kinda sad. (But although the vibe is homely, we wouldn’t recommend rocking up in yer Onesie. The boys here like to turn it out, so dress nice now.) A great destination for festive flirting and lethal cocktails, NBS is the perfect winter gay scene getaway.
