26/07/15:Â This little gem of a venue, tucked away in a side street of Limehouse, played host to a celebration fit for a queen; resident of this Old Ship, Saucy Sophie.
Now she says it was her 25th, but I’ll let you be the judge of that when you go down and see her in action. This time she wasn’t in action though, as she was propped up against the bar surrounded by her nearest and dearest, supping on champagne whilst a former winner of Drag Idol, Martha D’Arthur, serenaded us with a playlist created by the birthday queen herself.
After the whole venue demanded I get on stage and take an ‘Oscars’ style ‘selfie’, Martha D’Arthur bought out a beautiful pink cake, more champagne was poured and resident DJ Stevie Tee played us out for the rest of the night.
Big thanks to venue owner John as always and don’t forget there is cabaret every week and drinks at affordable prices, so get down there!
