SOHO BARS HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

31/10/12: Ghosts and ghouls and zombies… oh my! 2012’s Halloween fell slap-bang in the middle of the week, leaving bars, clubs and punters alike wondering when the hell they’re supposed to put on their scary garms on this year!

Thankfully, October 31st was still a spookeriffic sight in the West End, in what is now officially the homo holiday – hey, this side of the pond finally caught up, about twelve years after Jack from Will & Grace said it!

When it comes to Halloween honours, we must hand first prize to a ram-packed Molly Moggs, who’s Frocky Horror Show proved the little bar that could knows how to party properly, featuring cabaret performances and more costumes per square foot than any other venue.

Not to say that the other venues didn’t put on a good show, too, with some AMAZING costumes at G-A-Y Bar and Ku Bar.

But if we’re talking costume competition, then the winner must be a guy who pitched up at Circa as part of their ‘Detained: Halloween Special’ – a lad called Matthew Farrer, who couldn’t walk down Frith Street for longer than thirty seconds without being papped by eager tourists in his mesh, net, wire, paint and fake scar cacophony. J’adore!

Well done, gayers! Midweek or not, you certainly know how to make the witching hour pop!
