29/09/12: While we may burst on to the scene every week (different outfit, of course), it’s not every week, a new bar does.
So, when you’re done stumbling around Soho at 3am (looking for anywhere that sells a Big Mac), give yourself a real treat and consider a stumble into this gem in the heart of Clapham one evening.
As you walk through the low-ceilinged and romantically lit venue, The Bridge has a more intimate feel than most bars, perfect for a date – or to pick up one. Dubbed ‘Clapham’s Hottest New Gay Night’, with six foot flames at its doorway, and the six foot flamers inside them – the promoters weren’t lying.
They say, “start things off with a bang” – and loveable DJ Lee Harris certainly did that when his mix of old school house and revamped chart hits proved too much for the speakers! The Bridge paved a way for a new type of gay social in the south village, where the music’s on point, boys are cute and staff are friendly; we’ll definitely be returning.
As for water under the bridge? We much prefer the vodka on offer., thanks very much!
