20/09/19: Village, the colourful gay bar slap bang at the end of Old Compton Street, is always buzzing, but it’s PARTICULARLY buzzing on Friday nights. It’s one of the latest bars in Soho, which means everyone spills in there after post-work drinks and dinners, to get down and get lit. This is quintessential gay bar campery – there’s even cute scantily clad shotboys, offering up jagerbombs on a platter (well, not quite a PLATTER but you get our drift. It’s what the general public imagine when you say “gay bar” – rainbows, Britney pumping through the soundsystem and muscly boys pumping on the dancefloor. And sometimes, that’s just the ticket.
