COMPTONS OF SOHO

18/04/11: Sometimes when heading out to review a bar or a club, you just don’t know what you’re going to get. Will it be busy? Will it be fun? Will it be camp, serious, sublime, ridiculous? Well, when we sashayed down to Comptons, the Old Compton Street stalwart, we knew one thing – it would be BUSY! Comptons is regularly packed to the rafters with an eclectic range of chilled-out drinkers; especially now the weather is warming up and the pavement outside becomes a throng of homosexuals. Like a gaggle of geese, only louder! But Mondays are especially heaving thanks to some super-sweet drinks deals, which sees many drinks prices giving you change from a fiver for two drinks. You can’t say that happens often in the West End, unless you partial to some Tesco Value beer. So it was busy, how about fun? Of course! Comptons has one of the best, most chilled-out atmospheres in town – we’ll be seeing you there for an after work tipple.
