DTPM

28/08/16: Mention DTPM to young clubbers today and you’ll probably get blank stares back, but to those of us who have been around it is shorthand for absolute clubbing gold.

When London was at the peak of the international club scene the likes of Trade, DTPM and Crash were what the rest of the world aspired to, and we had them right here on our doorstep every weekend. Fast forward a few years and good big club parties are few and far between so it takes something a bit special to get us excited.

Well last weekend we were beside ourselves for the return of DTPM with ‘Lick My Lollipop’ at the super-swish Exhibit in Balham. Three rooms, three terraces, a cinema, a garden and some of the finest deckmeisters ever to grace a CDJ. It was without doubt the freshest new club to hit town this year.

From the friendly warm welcome by security, to the crowd – a delicious, fun and funky mix of old school clubbers and new kids on the block, to the atmosphere in every corner of the venue. It was everything we wanted and more. Never mind Lick My Lollipop – I’d happily swallow it whole.

Exhibit, 12 Balham Station Road, SW12 9SG
