02/10/14: Last Thursday the cry went up all around town, “the clown is back, the clown is back, long live the clown”, heralding a return to the hallowed boards of the G-A-Y stage for the fantastic winner of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Miss Bianca Del Rio.
Back by popular demand, Bianca joined Baga Chipz and Mary Mac for the weekly cock ’n’ crack fest known as G-A-Y Porn Idol as nine wannabes bared their bushes in a bid to impress the bitches.
With a popular judge like Bianca onboard, the totty rating rocketed and we were teated to a delicious array of pert buttocks and not too shabby penises, and there were even a couple of Bianca Super Fans present in the form of Graham Norton and Little Mix’s Jade.
As Graham Norton commented on Twitter after the show, “@TheBiancaDelRio is the real deal”, and it’s true. While all of the RPDR stars look fantastic, when they open their mouths in the context of a live show, for some (many?) all that comes out is a squeak.
By contrast when Bianca opens her mouth she emits a bellow of venom, vitriol and spot-on observation that cuts to the quick (or reads, as they say in the US) that is honed from many, many, many years of live shows in bars across America dealing with hecklers and boisterous audiences.
After the show Bianca retired to the Departure Lounge for a meet and greet that seemingly brought the whole of the club in to her boudoir for selfies whilst also raising money for EJAF through donations.
A truly lovely queen, a fabulous charity cause and a brilliant night out.
