03/06/16: I’m not saying we are shallow and predictable, but when the call came from QX HQ asking if we fancied some Cock on Friday let’s just say we were there quicker than Kylie at a 2-for-1 botox sale.
In fact every Friday at East Bloc’s weekly homosocial is Cock O’clock as resident Martyn Fitzgerald is joined by guests tearing up the dance floor with a mash-up of house, r’n’b and pop remixes with a smattering of Italo, disco and 80s and 90s bangerz.
Anything goes so long as the dance floor is jumpin’ and with Paul Bonomo (aka Snaz) and Jamie Bull, last week we had everything from early Donna Summer to New Order via Scissor Sisters and Boris Dlugosch.
The eclectic crowd gave the whole subterranean club a hedonistic New York turn of the century feel that kept us dancing with a hot bearded boy ‘til 6am. Delish.
