03/06/18: Well, that was a crazy amount of fun! Every single one of London’s gays (we checked, they were all there) headed over to a sun-drenched Brockwell Park last Sunday for the camp-as-tits day festival, Mighty Hoopla. Every sequin-splattered corner of the site was crammed with fit-to-burst ridiculousness, from Mel C performing with a dragged up Spice Girls, a small gaggle of Liza Minelli’s shimmying away in The Glory tent, and thousands of hoarse voices belting out Heaven is a Place on Earth. As TLC serenaded the day out with Waterfalls underneath a fab pink sunset, you couldn’t help but think that summer has already peaked. Same time next year?
