26/08/19: One of those rare days when the community comes together in the name of silliness. Not ones to waste a bank holiday, we made sure to get down to the RVT Sports Day 2019 and get the bubbles flowing just after noon. Picnic blanket under one arm and BUCKETS of sun cream under the other, it was set to be a big one.
What we loved about the goings-on is that they were dumb, but oh so competitive. Very much in the vein of the West Country welly wanging. Raising money for GMFA and OutLife, RVT Sports Day 2019 was one hell of a charity event. The sun was bearing down, the brows were glistening and the bears were OUT. Snatching the winning title were the adorable theatre kids of the Above the Stag. It was well deserved after that astonishing performance in the 50m Mince. If it were to ever become an Olympic space, y’all better watch the space.
