SUMMARY:Dragging Your Heels
DESCRIPTION:Dragging Your Heels is a brand-new musical comedy premiering in London. The story follows Ben (played by Terry Geo)\, who has recently gone through a divorce and returned to his hometown. Feeling as though life is closing in on him\, he aspires to become a stand-up comedian but struggles with severe stage fright. \nWith the help of his best friend\, Callum\, and drag queen\, Tammy Scowls (Dolly Diamond)\, they show him there could be another way to fulfil his dreams.  \nDragging Your Heels is written by and starring Terry Geo as Ben Sentosa. Tafadzwa Madubeko plays Callum Webb\, a fellow builder and Ben’s best friend. Australian star of stage and screen\, Dolly Diamond\, will join the cast as Tammy Scowls – a drag queen with a fierce tongue and a warm heart.  \nWill Stead has composed five fantastic original songs for the show\, and holding the reins is multi-award-winning director\,Paul T. Davies. \nTerry Geo wrote and directed his first play at the age of 11. He holds the record for being the youngest TV director and has also had a brief stint in a boy band. In addition to his television work\, Terry has starred in plays\, musical theater\, short films\, and music videos. In 2017\, he wrote and directed an award-nominated musical for the London stage. Blink of an Eye was a precursor to Blink\, his one-man gay romantic comedy that toured the UK in 2022 and 2023. Terry is also the author of Refraction and The Cracked Reflection.

SUMMARY:Bakla
DESCRIPTION:Tagalog is an Austronesian language and the basis of Filipino. Baklâ is Tagalog for homosexual and also means unable to reproduce and f*ggot. The start of Spanish colonial rule sparked a genocide\, and this award-winning and daring one-person physical theatre show is about how intergenerational trauma takes shape in the modern Filipino.

SUMMARY:The Death & Life of All of Us
DESCRIPTION:Following a sell-out premiere and an award-winning run at Edinburgh Fringe\, migrant theatre maker Victor Esses brings his unique storytelling back to the London stage. At 19\, Victor found his long-lost great-aunt Marcelle in Rome. She’d moved from Judaism to Christianity\, Lebanon to Italy\, changed her name and kept a life-long secret. Inspired by her strength and her rebellion\, Victor started making a documentary about her life. 20 years later\, this is his attempt at finishing it. \nMixing real life home videos\, endearing storytelling and original live-music\, The Death & Life of All of Us is a funny and poignant exploration of belonging\, resilience and an unexpected connection to the past that refuses to let go. “Visually rich… a celebration of experimentation on and off stage” – The Scotsman. “There is a delightful softness to Esses\, both in his performance style and writing… there is real tenderness here and emotional connection” – The Stage.

SUMMARY:A They In A Manger
DESCRIPTION:A They In A Manger is a new theatre experience invented by four live performance artists. It’s a celebration of chosen families\, queer community and survival of self in all the ways we choose to express\, perform\, and exist. It’s about love\, song\, nativity\, and raging manifesto: our fine-dining Tory government has butchered arts funding\, cleared the plates of hopeful possibilities\, and feasted on the working-class\, neurodivergent\, queer and ‘othered’ folx. The show is from the critically acclaimed creatives behind Wardrobe & Sons. The alternative John Lewis Christmas advert celebrates queer survival and solidarity. All performed inside a wardrobe\, it’s a Queer Christmas Riot! Tickets at various prices with discounts are available on the A They In A Manger website.
