The mushroom performers will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew. The Queer Comedy Club brings their best comedians to celebrate Queer Nature at Kew. Join Timberlina (they/them) as they host a series of irreverent performance rituals celebrating the healing powers of queer nature where you can embrace your eco-anxiety\, release your rage and summon your innate queer power. Theatrical DJ and horticulturalist Auntie Maureen (they/them/she/her) will be filling the rafters of the Temperate house with Queer tuneology galore\, playing songs and jingles to dance to. Catch Beau Jangles (he/him) sings songs of lament\, love\, capitalism and Little Shop of Horrors and allow yourself to be seduced by this time-travelling\, sophisticated and sultry king of the 1940s. Bi-Curious George (he/him) will broadcast immersive parody-monologues set to soaring classical scores. Expect cabaret\, parody songs\, lip-syncs\, dancing\, and sparkly costumes. Hosted by Ben Walters (he/him) at the Badge Café\, you can fertilise your own little round patch of queer nature at this crafty utopian hangout. Badge café puts old pics\, books and mags to fresh badge-making use. It’s easy\, welcoming and fun.
