G-A-Y BAR 10TH BIRTHDAY

21/11/12: Has it really been 10 years since G-A-Y bar threw open its doors on Old Compton Street?

Well, apparently, yes, as last Wednesday they celebrated in true double dip recession-beating fashion. Drinks were a bargain £1.50 all day except for at 10 past every hour, for 10 hours, when prices fell to £1 for 10 minutes.

Always loving a bargain, and even more so when it’s alcohol related, we joined the packed crowd of eager youngsters, as a scrum worthy of a Six Nations game at Twickenham ensued at the bar. There was an eager beaver, full complement of hotties serving behind the bar too and even guv’nor Jeremy Joseph tried his hand at pulling pints, much to the amusement of those around him!

Although it was a mid-week night, all three floors of G-A-Y bar were packed to the rafters and the pop was pumping, ensuring a good time was had by all. G-A-Y Bar, we couldn’t imagine Old Compton Street without you. Here’s to another 10!
