CITY OF QUEBEC

15/07/12: What better way to end our weekend of rancid debauchery than with a visit to one of the most welcoming West End watering holes around.

It may have been late on a Sunday evening but the Quebec greeted us with a warm, homely environment that suited our frame of mind just perfectly.

Suitably relaxed, we rested our rotten old hooves after a day out on the sauce… And couldn’t resist just squeezing a few more large ones in before staggering off to KFC. It’s clearly a popular place of a Sunday evening as the bar was teeming with fellas (and the odd gal) whose cups were overflowing with good cheer and banter.

The bar staff, and manager James, run an efficient ship and are the perfect hosts, making everyone feel welcome. The craic is always good and we usually end up meeting some really fun characters when we swing by, and tonight was no exception, especially the guy in the Lady Gaga t-shirt who was a big fan of QX; clearly a man with very good taste indeed.

Alas, we didn’t pull, as always, so we did what any self-respecting gay does in that situation – we drank lots more and noshed on a greasy bucket on the night bus home. Ah, the glamorous life of the QX reviewer… Thanks for a great night, City of Quebec.
