The Two Brewers is a multi-space venue and has a front bar with free performances and the Backroom venue with ticketed performances. Here’s what’s on offer at this Clapham hot bed of queer delights this April. 


Regular events in the Front bar at The Two Brewers


Mondays: Monday Night Cabaret with Mrs Moore and guests, 8pm Free entry.

Tuesdays: Karaoke with Kevin Walsh – It’s back! The Iconic karaoke night with host, Kevin Walsh. 8.30pm (Free entry before 9pm, £4 after)

Wednesdays: Let’s Get Quizzical alternating with Poppycock & Seriasis or Woe Addams and Pixie Polite, £2 per person, 8pm start and cabaret from 11pm (check website as line-ups subject to change)

Thursdays until 21st April: Drag Thursdays with DJ’s and drag entertainment from 10pm

Fridays: Drag Fridays with DJ’s, entertainment from 11pm, Free entry before 9pm, £7 after.

Saturdays: Drag cabaret: first performance at 8pm and second performance at 11pm. Cabaret Bar with DJ Demon, Club Bar with DJ Phil Marriott. Free entry before 9pm, £8 until 10pm, £9 after 10pm. Open 3pm – 4am. Last entry 3am

Thursday from 21 April: Drag Idol UK

Drag Idol every Thursday in the front bar. This is part of the national competition, 17 venues nationwide compete to find their representative who will go on to the semi-finals and then the Grand Final. 

Drag Idol is one of the oldest drag competitions in the UK and has launched the careers of some of our best performers – LoUis CYfer, SonofaTutu, Baga Chipz, Tia Kofi as part of the Vixens, Sumting Wong to name a few. Full details can be found on https://dragidoluk.co.uk/

Sunday 3 April: Myra DuBois Works in Progress Featuring Frank Lavender

The Siren of South Yorkshire MYRA DUBOIS flies back to Clapham to serenade her AdMyras with an afternoon of song and comedy as she cooks up her new show. With reluctant support from Yorkshire’s #1 “funny” man, Frank Lavender. Tickets £10. 3.30pm


Friday 8 April: Bingo Booty Call

Bored with Bumble? Tired of Tinder? Ghosted on Grindr? You are not alone. If you’ve ever been stood up, received (unwanted) dick pics or asked to send pictures of your nether regions (for what you thought was a coffee date) – this is the show for you. Join 21st Century dating experts Gareth Edward (“positive and charismatic”, Deadline News) and secretary Emily Davis (“Wonderfully cheeky stage presence”, London Theatre Review) in Booty Call Bingo! There are no numbers, all the balls represent booty calls and hook-ups that went horribly wrong. Several of them may have happened to you. There are comedy songs, and fabulous prizes to be won. Unlike guys on dating apps, Gareth and Emily will deliver on their promises. Come prepared for some late night flirting and the chance to dump Gareth or Emily by text message. Tickets £13.50 and £10 conc. 7.30pm – 9.30pm

Just like the character in Sondhein’s celebrated song, they’ve seen a lot of changes and adapted to every one, still bringing new work to thrill audiences and showing that you can be whatever you want to be over 50 – there’s hope for you yet! Representing a cross section of genders and ethnicities, these SIX established acts are more “Boom!” than Boomer, more Gen Sex than Gen X, more…oh you get the idea.
