He’s Got Your Back! Comedian and television presenter Joe Lycett will headline the National Student Pride 2024 main stage on Saturday 24th February. In conversation with Suzi Ruffell, Lycett will discuss his life and career in an interview in partnership with Attitude Magazine at National Student Pride.
National Student Pride is the UK’s largest LGBTQ+ student event, made by students for students. Student Pride returns to London on 23-25 February 2024 to bring together 2,000+ attendees for a weekend of parties, panels, an LGBTQ+ careers fair, and so much more.
On the main stage, Student Pride will host RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s Tomara Thomas and Cara Melle, as well as ‘Queer Question Time’, hosted by LBC’s Natasha Devon, to ask the big questions facing LGBTQ+ students and LGBTQ+ TV and Film, headlined by Russell T Davies. Mainstage headliner Joe Lycett is no stranger to stage or screen, with multiple headline tours and live entertainment shows; Late Night Lycett was commissioned for a second series in 2024. Not your ordinary performer, Joe Lycett is well known for getting political with his viral PR stunts. From calling out politicians and taking on water companies to faking a shredding of £10,000 in protest of David Beckham’s work with World Cup host Qatar. In 2020, Joe Lycett legally changed his name to Hugo Boss, protesting the fashion brand’s treatment of small businesses using “boss” in their names. National Student Pride will delve into Joe Lycett’s life and career in this exclusive interview.
